Aimée’s career has been blessed with amazing opportunities and nurtured by hard work. She is known for her ability to engage people at all levels of an organization to challenge what’s possible and pursue excellence.

Born in Detroit and raised in the metro Detroit area, Aimée has traveled the globe but has always resided in Michigan. She began her career in the automotive industry, first at Ford Motor Company then at General Motors where she had unique opportunities to work on new plant and product launches utilizing pioneering technology at the time. Her involvement in GM’s Powertrain Statistical Network afforded her the opportunity to personally meet W. Edward’s Deming, attending the last conference he delivered. At AlliedSignal, Aimée became one of the first Six Sigma Black Belts, receiving an award for being most innovative.

Aimée launched her consulting business in 1996 as AlliedSignal was divesting their automotive business and quickly acquired clients like Black & Decker, Walbro, Bundy Corporation, TI Automotive, Eaton, and Technimark, to name a few. In 2000, Aimée joined her business with Gary Cone to form GPS and they committed to evolve the serving offering to withstand the test of business fads and programs. GPS has served clients around the globe, in a broad range of industries in both the private and public sector. Most recently, Cowher served her hometown of Detroit working for Mayor Mike Duggan to drive operational efficiencies in city services that deliver value to residents, businesses and visitors.

Aimée’s leadership skills carry over to her dedication to the community. She was instrumental in developing GPS’ “Forward Thinking is Giving Back” vision whereby GPS donates a percentage of profits and billable hours as pro bono work for charitable causes, mostly focused on making a difference in the lives of kids.

A former board member of the Detroit Ronald McDonald House and Governing Member of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Cowher also served on the Board of Trustees at University Liggett School and currently runs The KJR Foundation.
